special OpTac International Conference rate of $129.00 per
night, for single or double occupancy rooms. Reservations
must be made prior to June 20, 2008, to guarantee these rates.
The Dulles International Airport (Airport Code: IAD) is located
within a 10 minute drive to the hotel. Transportation to
and from the hotel can be provided by the Westfield Marriott

COURSE
DESCRIPTION (3 days):
The OpTac International Tactical
Command Program
will be held July 8-10, 2008 in Chantilly, Virginia.
This program is designed
to provide commanders with realistic guidelines and practical
exercises to prepare for and enhance their command of Special
Weapons and Tactics teams. Hands-on training will allow
tactical commanders the opportunity to formulate tactical
team policy, plan the execution of high-risk search and
arrest warrants, manage command post operations, legal and
ethical decision making, and tactical applications on emergency
response operations. An emphasis will be placed on legal
updates for tactical team management to include the relationship
between the selection and training requirements of tactical
team personnel, and departmental liability.
The cost to attend the OpTac
International Tactical Command Program is $599 per person.
There is limited space available, therefore paid reservations
will be accepted on a priority basis.
