will be attending the OpTac International Program to receive
the special rate of $81 per night, for single or double occupancy
rooms. Reservations must be made prior to February 12, 2008,

COURSE
DESCRIPTION (3 days):
The OpTac International Tactical
Breaching Instructor Program will be held February 25-27,
2008, in Chesapeake, Virginia.
This program is designed to
teach advanced breaching skills and properly prepare officers
to instruct law enforcement personnel in this area. A strong
emphasis will be placed on the development of a tactical breaching
plan and the following breaching methods: ram, pry bar, hydraulic,
and ballistic/shotgun. An overview of explosive entry techniques
and exothermic torches will be presented. In addition, training
and operational safety standards/protocol, identification
of fortifications, locking mechanisms, innovative breaching
equipment, and advanced instructional techniques will be covered.
The cost to attend the OpTac International Tactical Breaching Instructor Program is
$599
per person. There is limited space
available, therefore paid reservations will be accepted on
a priority basis.

- Understand the importance of selecting the most appropriate breaching tool based on the operational situation
- Successfully complete the Tactical Breaching Instructor Program written examination, instructor presentation, and qualification.
