Advanced Tactical Command Program

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS

The Fairfield Inn, located at 1560 Crossways Blvd., Chesapeake, VA 23320, is the host hotel. Reservations can be made by calling 757-420-1300. Be sure to mention you will be attending the OpTac International Program to receive the special rate of $99 per night, for single or double occupancy rooms. Reservations must be made prior to April 11, 2008, to guarantee these rates.

 

COURSE DESCRIPTION (3 days):
The OpTac International Advanced Tactical Command Program will be held May 1-3, 2008, in Chesapeake, Virginia.

This advanced program is designed to develop and enhance operational planning and execution for Commanders of Special Weapons and Tactics teams through interactive training and practical exercises. Classes on legal updates, establishing a SWAT training matrix, leadership in the 21st Century, strategies for optimal team performance, media relations, integration of snipers and entry/perimeter team personnel, and behavioral science will test and prepare commanders in managerial situations. An emphasis is placed on critical incident response and supervision of interpersonal issues as they relate to executive decisions and department liability. The establishment and prolongation of multi-jurisdictional teams and joint operations will be covered.

The cost to attend the OpTac International Advanced Tactical Command Program is $599 per person. There is limited space available, therefore paid reservations will be accepted on a priority basis.
