DESCRIPTION (3 days):
The OpTac International Advanced
Tactical Command Program will be held January 29-31, 2009,
in Leesburg/Orlando, Florida.
This advanced program is
designed to enhance operational planning and execution for
commanders and team leaders of tactical teams through interactive
training and practical exercises. Classes include: critical
incident management, tactical team management, legal updates,
establishing a SWAT training matrix, leadership in the 21st
Century, strategies for optimal team performance, media relations,
integration of snipers and entry/perimeter team personnel,
and behavioral science. Tabletop and interactive exercises
will test and prepare attendees in managerial situations.
An emphasis is placed on critical incident response and supervision
of interpersonal issues as they relate to executive decisions
and department liability. The establishment and prolongation
of multi-jurisdiction teams and multi-team operations are
covered.
The cost to attend the OpTac
International Advanced Tactical Command Program is $599 per
person. Anyone attending the preceding Tactical Command Program
will receive a $100 discount off of the Advanced Tactical
Command Program tuition. There is limited space available,
therefore paid reservations will be accepted on a priority
basis.
