COURSE DESCRIPTION (3 days):
The OpTac International Advanced Tactical Command Program will be held October 9-11, 2008, in N. Miami Beach, Florida.

This advanced program is designed to develop and enhance operational planning and execution for Commanders of Special Weapons and Tactics teams through interactive training and practical exercises. Classes on legal updates, establishing a SWAT training matrix, leadership in the 21st Century, strategies for optimal team performance, media relations, integration of snipers and entry/perimeter team personnel, and behavioral science will test and prepare commanders in managerial situations. An emphasis is placed on critical incident response and supervision of interpersonal issues as they relate to executive decisions and department liability. The establishment and prolongation of multi-jurisdictional teams and joint operations will be covered.

The cost to attend the OpTac International Advanced Tactical Command Program is $599 per person. There is limited space available, therefore paid reservations will be accepted on a priority basis.
